OUR APPROACH & DELIVERABLES:
Logika Group led the analysis of Scotland's sustainable finance landscape using a mixed-methods approach that combined commercial financial datasets, desk-based research, and stakeholder engagement.
Scotland's transition to a net-zero economy will require substantial mobilisation of private capital alongside public investment. Commissioned in response to a recommendation from the Scottish Taskforce for Green and Sustainable Financial Services, the study aimed to establish a baseline understanding of Scotland's sustainable finance landscape and to help identify opportunities to attract further investment in green sectors.
The research examined historical investment activity in green infrastructure and renewable energy, assessed future investor interest in Scotland, and mapped the provision of sustainable finance products and services.
The study drew on a comprehensive evidence base, including commercial financial databases, extensive desk-based research, policy and market analysis, and interviews with banks, asset owners, asset managers, and industry organisations. The resulting report provides an independent evidence base to inform future policy development and strengthen Scotland's position as a leading centre for green and sustainable finance.
The report has been published by ClimateXChange and can be found here.
