Liz is an Associate Director within the Environmental Policy & Economics team and joined the company in 2021
Liz is an environmental toxicologist with over 8 years of experience specialising in understanding the source, fate and effects of chemicals in the environment. She has delivered and managed projects for the UK Environment Agency, Defra, European Commission, European Environment Agency (EEA) and European Chemicals Agency (ECHA)..
Her expertise lies in the area of emerging contaminants and has led to her completing work on the risks associated with endocrine disruptors in drinking water, hazards and effects of intentionally added microplastics, prioritising chemical risks to groundwater from practices such as land spreading of waste and identifying contaminants of emerging concern to surface waters. In addition to this, Liz has managed international work on POPs under the Stockholm Convention, reviewed global chemical regimes beyond EU REACH and completed studies to support the recent work on the broad restriction of PFAS and the zero pollution ambition of the EU.
Prior to this she completed a PhD in aquatic ecotoxicology and is still actively involved in the research community sitting on the UK council for the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) and regularly attends UK Chemical Stakeholder Forum meetings at Defra.
Given the complex nature of the project the team are very impressed with the quality of the service that we have received.
