Throughout the course at Imperial College London Kayleigh gained experience in environmental policy work through projects including an analysis of the economic impact of Emission Control Areas for shipping in the United States, policy-based analysis for the mitigation of environmental degradation of Russian tundra and a policy-based project on the circularity of the London transport system. She also worked with AstraZeneca to produce a thesis assessing environmental sustainability in the pharmaceutical industry and the potential role it could play in product pricing.
In 2020 Kayleigh completed an Economics BSc at the University of York where she conducted a thesis on the relationship between carbon emissions and economic growth in India using the environmental Kuznets curve. During the course Kayleigh gained environmental experience at the NGO Ocean Generation through an economics summer internship, where she produced a report on the economics of the plastics industry and attended the 2018 Resource and Waste Management. Kayleigh also has experience in the professional services industry, having completed a tax internship with EY.
